Equipping Christians for ministry
and mission in today's world
Welcome to the Union

A wide range of opportunities for postgraduate study is available at Union. All can be taken either full-time or part-time.

The MDiv degree is designed for those whose first degree is in a subject other than Theology. It includes a foundation in all the main theological disciplines plus the opportunity to specialise up to Master's degree level. For those who wish to do so, the MDiv can be readily combined with practical and ministerial training courses.

The MTh is for those who already have a first degree in Theology. It consists of a Study Skills module plus three "taught" modules for which each student designs their own syllabus in consultation with their supervisor, plus a dissertation.

Opportunities for MPhil and the PhD, as research degree options, are available across the disciplines.

All our postgraduate students benefit from the excellent library and other facilities, from the supportive community ethos and from a close working relationship with members of Faculty.

International Students

We welcome International Students to all our courses at Union.  Queen's University is a member of the prestigious Russell Group of top UK Universities - and so our courses and degrees are highly regarded across the world.  Applicants must have the equivalent of a UK 2.1 honours degree.  We are not able to offer any financial support.  However, at present we do not apply the overseas-student surcharge that is applied by most UK Universities, and so our fees are generally more affordable.  It is usually best for prospective postgraduates to contact us by email to discuss available courses before making a formal on-line application.  This is especially so for research degrees.

For fuller details of each of these degree programmes see Pathway Information.
