Dr Jonathan Norgate

I am a Faculty Member of Crosslands Training, responsible for Systematic Theology and Cross-Cultural Ministry. I studied English Literature & Theology at King’s College, Cambridge (BA 1st), Systematic Theology under Colin Gunton at King’s College, London (MA Distinction), and completed a PhD in Systematic Theology at Aberdeen University under John Webster (published by T&T Clark as Isaac A. Dorner: The Triune God and the Gospel of Salvation). Following theological studies I have worked as a Staff Worker with UCCF, in International Student Ministry with an Anglican church in Sheffield, and from 2011-2018 was a missionary in Cambodia with OMF, working in church planting ministries in rural and urban poor contexts. My research interests include modern trinitarian theology and the development of orthodox contextualised theologies (especially in East Asia).
