Deaconess Training

Deaconesses in the Presbyterian Church in Ireland are women called to serve by the Council for Mission in Ireland. They work in congregations and the local community, providing pastoral care, discipleship, and ministry in a variety of settings including hospital chaplaincy work.

Recruitment for the programme normally runs on a 3 to 4 year cycle rather than annually. If anyone is interested in finding out more about the Deaconess Training Pathway, particularly around the selection timeline, contact mission@presbyterianireland.org
